Artist Profile Sean Dwyer Sean, based in the inner city of Sydney has had a passion for drawing from an early age. His passion for inner city urban scenes and drawing have developed into the striking dramatic images he now creates. Exclusively using black ink on paper, Sean’s works have being exhibited throughout Sydney, Melbourne and London. “ From an early age I had had an obsessive interest in not only the architecture and scale of inner city areas but the atmosphere and mood these environments create. This remains unchanged. The beauty of such detail, energy and the notion there is something new around every corner fascinates me.” Sean Dwyer
Sydney and Beyond – urban images “Sean Dwyer has an obsession with urban scenes, from the architecture to the atmosphere of inner-city dwelling. He transforms his observations into works on paper that capture the city’s pulse and presents a sense of claustrophobia. His drawing are predominately of Sydney, including a detailed view of Potts Point, but he also evokes the energy of the British capital in London walk.” By Clara Iaccarino, Spectrum, P16 SMH, March 17-18, 2007 Exhibitions 2007 “Sydney and Beyond” Cross Bay Gallery, Sydney 2006 “Group show-end of year show “Cross Bay Gallery, Sydney / “Group show of Australian Artists “ Light Gallery, London / “Art Melbourne 06” Represented by Frances Keevil Art 2005 “Exhibition of finialist works Cromwell’s” Auction House / 2005 “Group show-images of the cross ‘ T.A.P Gallery, Darlinghurst / North Sydney Art Prize Group show-depicting North Sydney |
